The UGC NET English paper 2 syllabus examines how well candidates know the subject and its specifics. It focuses entirely on English Literature, Language, and Culture, covering major literary works from different periods. In addition to British literature, the syllabus includes notable works from American and Indian Authors.

The second paper for UGC NET English includes the following lessons:

• It includes drama from the Elizabethan, Jacobean, and Restoration periods, as well as drama from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
